Post phenomenology tries to put man, world, and technology in a closed relationship with each other and specifies the relation made by technology between man and his world. Camera as a technology tool and cultural media, with regard to the context it is located in, creates special socio-cultural concepts. In this paper, attempts have been made to investigate the technological role of photography in the Iranian culture and society. The author attempts to find the relation that photography has created between man and his world in Iran, which has ultimately resulted in a decisive cultural turn. The author also attempts to present an analysis, based on Foucault`s archeological ideology, to identify the epistemological roots of this cultural turn. The results reveal that photography has led to a new ideology based on mundane phenomena and interrelations, and has also made Iran subject to modern cultural changes.

The purpose of this research is to explore some of the indicators of a women-friendly city, applying the opinions of women of different socio-economic statuses and social types. This research is descriptive and qualitative in nature. We use the ethnography as our method and our technique for data collection is problem-oriented interview. The statistical population is a group of women aged between18 and 50 who have lived in Tehran during the last 5 years. The non-probabilistic and judgmental sampling is employed and the sample consists of 19 women. The results of this research indicate that, according to the interviewees, 8 features can make Tehran a women-friendly city: Safe Tehran, convenient Tehran, active Tehran, participatory Tehran, leisurely Tehran, fair Tehran, beautiful Tehran and child-friendly Tehran. Furthermore, we find that social type and socio-economic status do not make a significant difference to women’s comments about a city women-friendliness. Rather, it is the three types of status, i.e. housekeeping, employment, and motherhood which differentiate women’s views, needs, and concerns considering the issue of urban life.

The present research has been done aiming portray the quality of the representation of youth everyday life in the Iranian TV. The research investigates the representation of youth everyday life in a TV serial titled ‘The Faseleha’ using representation & critical theories. The results show that the serial, based on stereotype technique, encounters youth everyday life through a selective and biased approach, and while classifies youth into traditional and modern groups, the boundary between ‘Us ’ and ‘Them’ is specified. The main and dominant purpose of the serial is to fill the value-based gap between modern and traditional youths, and their idealist fathers. The serial using cultural propagation against youth puts them in a weak position and tends to organize their everyday life. On the other hand, we see that under the dominance of the system over the life-world, the communicative action of the youth actors of everyday life, including traditional and modern youths, with others of their same generation and with social institutions are disturbed. It is interesting to note that each of the social institutions encounters to youth everyday life issues in a similar away.
