Ethical Policies The two scientific-research quarterly "Old Persian Literature" is voluntarily based on the principles of the International Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) and the ethical charter of the publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Authors, judges, academic secretaries and editors in compliance with this publication must adhere to these ethical principles.

Excerpts from the Ethical Principles of Article Writing

The article must be original (not translated, adapted, etc.).
The contribution of each author should be carefully defined.
References are accurate.
Quotes should be fully specified.
The article should be compiled according to the needs in its own field.
Original sources (references to handicrafts and online sources are not allowed).
The author has carefully read the terms of the publication.
Quoting the publication without mentioning the source is not prohibited.

 

Selection of conditions for receiving scientific articles by the journal

The journal welcomes the acceptance of authoritative research articles that contain new and non-adapted scientific material and points, and is exempt from publishing articles based on collection or translation.
The right to publish the article, after acceptance, is reserved for the publication and the author is not allowed to publish it in other domestic and foreign journals. Also, only articles that have not previously been published elsewhere will be published in the journal.
The journal is free to accept, reject, modify and edit received articles.
The initial acceptance of the article is conditional on the observance of the ethical principles of scientific writing and the conditions of the scientific compilation of the article. Final acceptance and publication of the article is subject to the approval of the judges, and in any case, the result will be announced to the author.

The registration of the article in the quarterly system of "Kohannameh Adab Parsi" will be notified to all the authors of the article by sending an email; Obviously, the inclusion of the authors in the article is their main role in the compilation of the article. If the authors of the article did not play a role in the compilation of the article and their names have been misused, they need to be notified immediately via email. All authors are responsible for the originality of the work. The quarterly "Kohannameh Adab Parsi" tries to review all the articles submitted to the publication system before entering the judging process through a similarity system. But at present, in the initial study, Google search service and free Persian systems are used, and in subsequent studies, until further notice, it uses the Hamyab" &"Samim Noor" online detection system. Therefore, authors are also advised to use similar detection systems, including the "Seminoon" system, to ensure that there are no violations, and to send the system approval certificate to the journal. It is worth mentioning that the right to evaluate and prosecute plagiarism is reserved for the "Old Persian Literature" quarterly.

According to the International Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE), plagiarism is the unintentional or unintentional use of words, ideas, phrases, claims, or citations of others without proper appreciation and explanation of the author, author, or speaker. Therefore, it is expected that the authors of scientific works will carefully record the use of other people's works in their work and inform this use to the audience in an appropriate way, in addition to maintaining honesty, to be protected from accusations of deception, negligence and plagiarism.

The following are examples of plagiarism:

Submit another article in your own name
Insert names of authors and researchers who have no role in the article.
Copy or duplicate significant portions of another article (even if the article is a copy without reference to one of the authors of the new article).
Draw conclusions from the research of others in your own name
Published a copy of an article by an author in several journals
Expressing incorrect results and contrary to scientific findings or distorting research results
Use of invalid data or manipulation of research data

 

Dealing with plagiarism

Cases of plagiarism are being investigated by the editors. In addition, in order to protect the credibility and efforts of other researchers, without any tolerance or waiver, considering the extent of plagiarism, the following will be dealt with legally:

The article will be rejected and will be removed from the sites if printed.
In a formal letter, the plagiarism case will be shared with other universities and related domestic and foreign publications.
In an official letter to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC), universities, institutes, journals and any place where the authors have used the copyright to this article will be.

Duties and responsibilities of the publication

Kohannameh Adab Parsi undertakes that the decisions made regarding the submitted copies of the articles are based only on professional and professional judgments and are far from personal interests.
This publication is committed to preserving academic and research records.
This publication monitors the observance of ethical principles by the editor, academic secretaries, editorial board and judges.
The magazine is constantly reviewing articles to prevent plagiarism, fraud and possible abuse.
This publication will provide the necessary corrections, explanations and withdrawals when needed.

Duties and responsibilities of editors and scientific teachers

The scientific editors of this journal must keep the submitted copies confidential until publication.
The editor, scientific secretaries and judges make the decisions regarding the publication or non-publication of a copy.
The scientific secretaries of this journal must preserve the principle of anonymity of the judges.
The scientific editors of this journal must avoid conflicts of interest.
The scientific editors of this journal are required to provide scientific protection and try to meet the scientific needs of their readers.
The scientific editors of this journal should identify plagiarism, fraud, and possible fraud, and provide corrections, explanations, and revocations and apologies as needed.
The scientific editors of this journal should focus their attention only on rational content.
The scientific editors of this journal should not disclose copy information to anyone other than authors, responsible authors and judges.
Unpublished copies will not be used for personal purposes by academic professors or other members.

 

Duties and responsibilities of judges

The reviewers of this journal should work with the scientific professors to decide on the publication of the submitted copies.
Referees invited to this publication should try to keep the copies submitted confidential.
The judges must submit their opinions to the scientific professors to decide whether or not to publish the copy in due time.
Peer reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of copies submitted and not to use their information for personal purposes.
The opinions of the judges regarding the submitted copies should be technical and specialized.
In the event of a conflict of interest between the judges and the authors, companies or institutions, it is necessary to avoid arbitration so that this can be done by another arbitrator.
The judges must expose the conflict of interest.

 

Duties and responsibilities of authors

Copies must be submitted in the correct spelling and using appropriate terms.
Copies should not be published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or part of a lecture, review article, or dissertation) or reviewed by another publication.
The responsible author must ensure the consent of the other co-authors.
The author must obtain and verify the permission of the institution to which the submitted copy relates.
Authors should allow the article to be edited for better readability.
The authors are expected to summarize the sponsor to implement and prepare the research process.
The Code of Ethics must be signed by the authors.
In open access journals, authors own the article but also allow the public to download, publish, and distribute it.
The authors of an article must agree that the responsible author will undertake the review process of the article.
When the authors of an article see a significant error in their work, they should immediately notify the scientific secretary of the journal to correct it.
Before submitting an article to the journal system, the authors are advised to use scientific matching systems to ensure the possible absence of plagiarism.

Examples of violations of the ethical principles of publication by the authors

Plagiarism: Plagiarism means the intentional use of another person's articles or ideas in one's own name. Using another person's sentence or even the author's previous sentences without mentioning the source is considered theft.

Data Making and Distortion: Data fabrication is when the researcher has not done a study in practice but provides data and conclusions. Distortion also occurs when conducting research but altering data and results.

Simultaneous submission: This is when a copy of an article is sent to two journals at the same time.

Duplicate submission: Occurs when two or more articles have the same hypotheses, data, and conclusions.

Duplicate submission: means dividing a study into multiple articles and submitting them.

Misrepresentation by another author: All authors whose names appear in the article should contribute to doing so. Otherwise, it is considered a violation.

Manipulation of resources: It is when in the last part of a copy of several sources are mentioned, while in the content of the text, their names are not included.

 

Costs of reviewing, judging and publishing articles

According to the regulations of scientific and research journals of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science and also approved by the Board of Directors of the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies (date 25/06/2012, No. 54/6/91), a fee is received for receiving, reviewing and publishing articles.
