Abstract
Research Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate the obstacles to the development of Iranian women's home-based businesses and careers based on the findings of previous studies. Research Method: This study was conducted using a systematic review method. The statistical population included published findings on the factors inhibiting the establishment and development of Iranian women's home-based businesses indexed in the databases of Civica, Google Scholar, SID, Noor Mags, and Magiran, totaling 153 articles. Keywords used for the search. The criteria for inclusion of articles in this study were all articles and research that were written about sociological obstacles affecting Iranian women's home-based businesses. The exclusion criteria for articles from the selected articles were also those that did not have full text access. Findings: The results of the study showed that from a sociological perspective, the most important obstacles to the development of Iranian women's home businesses are classified into two categories: individual obstacles and socio-cultural obstacles. Individual obstacles are divided into two categories: lack of soft skills and lack of hard skills. Socio-cultural obstacles also include two categories: gender inequalities and cumbersome administrative bureaucracy in relation to women's home business development.
