In Heidegger’s perspective, art should be capable of fostering critical thinking and moral awareness. He maintained that during times when art is reduced to a tool for political propaganda, it can contribute to the spread of harmful and destructive ideologies. Although Heidegger joined the Nazi Party early on, he ultimately turned away from it and remained committed to his philosophical principles. The importance of art education in cultivating critical thinking and social awareness is also emphasized in this text. Art education can help future generations use art as a means to promote human values, diversity, and respect for differences, and to prevent it from becoming a vehicle for dangerous ideologies.
