A comparative study of the state of political trust in Iran in 1397 and 1402 based on the 1397 Social Capital Report and the National Survey of Iranian Values ​​and Attitudes in 1402

Abstract
Political trust is one of the important parts of trust that is evaluated in the relationship and interaction between people and the government, and indicators such as the legitimacy of governments are related to it. This type of trust can be examined and measured in cultural and institutional approaches mainly at three levels: trust in agents, institutions, and the political system.

This article seeks to examine and analyze the state of political trust in Iran in 1397 and 1402. Using the secondary analysis method, the findings of two national surveys, "Social Capital Report 1397" and "Iranian Values and Attitudes 1402", have been analyzed. The effect of contextual variables on political trust has also been examined.

the findings of this study show that the political trust of the iranian people has a decreasing trend and the average people's trust in political institutions and agents has been reduced by 12.8 percent. the continuation of this downward trend in the coming years can bring serious challenges in political, security and social fields for the political system of the country.
