Abstract
Literature in every society has a mutual interaction with its environment and conditions. It is influenced by both the prevailing environment and the conditions of its modern society. The sixth and early seventh centuries - the era of Attar's life - has been one of the most turbulent periods of Iranian political, social, cultural, and economic history that have been overshadowed and ignored by Mongol events. . It has long been the case that alien slaves with Turkish culture have taken over the affairs of the country with the means of religious sanctity and do not commit any crime in pursuit of their goals. In this research, we study descriptive-analytical and library methods to study the conditions of this era, to investigate the factors that create these conditions and to reflect on Attar's thought. Studying the works of Attar and comparing it with the conditions of his age, it seems that from the perspective of Attar his society seems to have a social break. From Attar's point of view, the most important factor in creating this social rift is the lack of proper understanding of religion and of alienation.
