Abstract

Humans are faced with stressful and challenging situations in different fields of life; many of them can damage not only individuals but also families and academic performance, career and social relations. In such condition, an expert’s aid can help them to better understand the problem and find various solutions, make decisions and act. Such professional help is provided by the process of counseling and psychotherapy. Counseling should be proportionate with the needs and unique characteristics developed based on the sources and environments that s/he has grown up in and encountered the problems. The counselor is influenced by belief systems, values and attitudes towards human beings, his ideology, theoretical framework and his/her accepted psychological approach. So, a consultancy is successful that is provided in accordance with local characteristics. The world wide view accepts this type of counseling.
