Abstract
The aim of this research is discovering the social-cultural contexts of tendency to Feminism in Iran. After statement of the problem and report of past researches, with theoretical sensitivity, social dominance theory, agency and structure, cultural hegemony, circles of power and theory of action were mentioned and a conceptual framework was developed. Grounded theory method, selection of 37 women with purposeful sampling, in-depth interview technique and semi-structured questions guided the researcher to real data and field theory. Based on the findings, patriarchal system was discovered as a causal condition. Discriminatory laws, media representation, gender socialization and dominance of tradition were also discovered as background conditions. Constructed anger and constructed awareness were also identified as intervention or intermediate conditions. The central phenomenon is tendency to feminism. Inaction, situational change strategies and destructive strategies were appeared as strategies and abandonment, activist appearance and subject as consequences. The paradigm model was also developed based on the research findings. Results can be useful in conceptualization, improving and promotion the theoretical of women's field, problem analysis and discovering the contexts of tendency and provide the possible of interventions and structural reforms
