Abstract
The philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas, which is basically based on ethics and phenomenology, has concrete aspects. Therefore, his theories can be elaborated for sociological studies as well as analyzing the emotions and relationships of characters in realist stories; including the possibility of ethics in the relationship between “I/self” and “other” and “face-to-face encounter.
In this way, by examining the social situations and behavior of the characters in the story, it is determined how "otherness" (including family, society and the surrounding world) basically forms the set of moods, relationships, intentionality, and subjectivity.
This article aims to analyze the themes of Akbar Radi's plays, based on the key concepts of Emmanuel Levinas's philosophy - including the concepts of "Ethics", "Alterity", "Other", "Responsibility", "Face", "Justice", and "Death" - confirm the opinion that a significant affinity between the opinions of these two thinkers can be recognized, especially in the field of ethics and social relations. Of course, the concept of ethics in Levinas's philosophy has a human aspect, and in Radi's works, it has a social aspect. Therefore, it can be considered that the main structure of thought and the existential essence of Radi's works are consistent with Levinasian ethics in a concrete way.
