Manifestations of Social Alienation in"Hayder Babaya Salam" Shahyar's poem

Abstract

Alienation is one of the most important crisis of modern man. Shahryar is one of the influential poets of the contemporary era, who feels separated from many cultural and social manifestations of his time. Sociology of literature analyzes literature from a social perspective.This research aims to investigate the alienation in the "Haydar Babaye Salam" series using the qualitative content analysis method. For this purpose, the first and second "Heydar Babaye Salam poem" were analyzed, then the manifestations of alienation in this poem were analyzed.

The feeling of social alienation is reflected in the poem with"non-alignment with the political and social situation", "feeling of alienation against modernity", "disappointment due to the loss of values", "social isolation and complaints from people" and "feeling of loneliness". Nostalgia and recollection of happy past memories, returning to rural nature and childhood is the poet's mental reaction to compensate for the feeling of alienation.

The findings of the research show that the most manifestations of social alienation in the "Haydar Babaye Salam" series are in the field of "non-alignment with the political and social situation" and the least manifestations of alienation are related to "feeling of alienation against modernity" and "social isolation and complaining about people".
