Mohammad Hejazi's Ziba, one of the most realistic novels of the first Pahlavi, deals with different social issues including the status of women. The article, using a qualitative approach and thematic analysis method, has described and analyzed how traditional feminine identity is represented in this novel. The unit of analysis is the sentence, and the related themes have been identified, coded, and analyzed systematically. An inductive-posterior analysis of the themes showed that the most important specificities of the represented traditional femininity in the novel can be described and interpreted under the main categories of role-appropriate naming, the prominence of within- -familial functions and relationships, limited social interactions, women's commodified, submissive, and dependent identifications, the dominance of traditional intellectual-cognitive values, and consolidative strategies of tradition and patriarchal relationships based on female subordination. All of these multiple semantic categories interconnectedly have been able to present a coherent, understandable, logical, and reasonable narrative of the image of traditional femininity in the novel. Finally, it is not possible to describe and analyze women's multiple representations who have different characteristics and positions under the singular, generalizing, and unifying super-category of the traditional "woman." Because, the represented women, by their individual-social characteristics, have been represented differently.
