In Iranian society,a distinctive characteristic is the confluence of rational-logical and emotional-irrational discourses. This discursive fusion has manifested in the integration of modern Western values with the traditional Iranian-Islamic axis across various periods and social spheres. One such field is the field of family life as one of the most significant social institutions. This research investigates the fragmented mentality of married men and women in the two key functions of "the status of men and women" and "parenting" within family life. This research employs Julia Kristeva's theoretical framework to describe the subject gap.The study includes 22 married male and female employees selected purposefully. The article adopts a phenomenological approach and utilizes discourse analysis as its method. Data analysis involved a two-stage process: describing and interpreting the statements obtained from in-depth interviews with participants in the process of deconstruction and reconstruction. The findings reveal a mental gap and mentality hybridization of subjectivity through the description and interpretation of narratives from married women and men in these two family life functions. mentality hybridization arises from the collision between discourses that are intertwined despite fundamental oppositions. These discourse worlds have transformed the subject from a unified and integrated entity into a hybridized and fragmented subject.
