; Because the main problem of this research is the degree of convergence of the effects of traditional and modern components in the process of carpet formation and transformation. The current research with a question such as what are the historical and cultural components influencing the evolution of Iranian carpets? In a qualitative and descriptive-analytical method, he collected information using data obtained from library documents. The results of the research indicate that in the sociological studies of contemporary carpets, without taking into account the traditional approach derived from Iranian-Islamic culture, it is not possible to provide a definition of the evolution of contemporary Iranian carpets. According to the findings of the research, identity components such as Iranian-Islamic culture and tradition have played a role in the process of contemporary carpet formation, and any growth and development will mean a change of approach in the field of cultural history studies. According to the approach of cultural history, a carpet with a local experience is in pursuit of cultural innovation and dynamism, which ultimately presents a variety of concepts and images. In other words, he was looking for a kind of national-religious modernity that is rooted in tradition.
