Introduction
Alienation is one of the basic concepts of modern society. Political and social changes in the contemporary era have caused the feeling of alienation in people's lives. The extensive changes in Iranian society in the contemporary era and the accelerated growth of modernity in it transformed the entire Iranian society, both in terms of appearance and culture, and provided grounds for the alienation of society and people. Shahriyar is one of the greatest poets of the contemporary era who has faced the extensive changes in Iranian society. The changes that caused the poet to feel alienated from many cultural and social aspects of his time. This feeling of alienation has led to his social distancing and isolation. The purpose of this research is to investigate the concept of alienation and alienated soul in the poem "Haydar Babaye Salam" as one of Shahriyar's identified poems. Examining the mentioned concept reveals more hidden angles of "Haydar Babaye Salam" system and Shahriyar's intellectual system. In the present research, the author has analyzed the phenomenon of alienation and its manifestations in the poem "Haydar Babaye Salam" with an analytical approach.
Material&Methods
This research has investigated and analyzed the manifestations of social alienation in the "Haydar Babaye Salam" poem using the qualitative content analysis method. The data of the research has been collected by document and library study and semantic analysis. For this purpose, the first and second parts of the poem "Haydar Babaye Salam" were analyzed. Then, according to sociological theories, alienation was extracted from this poem. After collecting the data, their analysis was done in a comparative way.
Discussion &results
Shahriar feels alienated in his community. This feeling is due to the wrong policies of the government, inequalities and social discrimination, and due to the domination of foreigners. Alienation and social alienation in his poetry with the components of "non-alignment with the political and social situation", "feeling of alienation against modernity", "disappointment due to the loss of moral values and concepts", "social isolation and complaining about the people of the time" and The "feeling of loneliness" is reflected. Discrimination and inequality, class conflict, incomplete imported modernity, monopoly of wealth in the hands of the masters and the people not benefiting from economic prosperity, the weakness of the government in protecting Iran's borders, the dominance of unworthy people over Iran's economic system, the deterioration of its moral values and its social breakdown. It leads to alienation from society. He feels lonely, and this feeling of loneliness happened because of separation from friends, or because of the death of loved ones. He tries to compensate for this feeling of alienation and homelessness by recalling his childhood memories and village life.
conclusion
The most manifestations of alienation and homelessness in the poem "Haydar Babaye Salam" are in the field of alienation from the political and social situation, which shows his sense of responsibility towards social and cultural pains. The lowest effect of alienation is related to the component of social isolation and feeling alone.
