Undoubtedly, one of the most important organizations and associations for women during the second Pahlavi era was the Iranian Women’s Organization, which was established in 1966. According to its charter, the aim of this organization was to enhance the cultural, social, and economic knowledge of Iranian women and to increase their awareness of their rights within the family, as well as their freedoms and responsibilities in social and economic life. In addition to the establishment of the organization in Tehran, various branches of the Iranian Women’s Organization were also formed in provincial centers and cities.
The most significant activities and emphasis of the Iranian Women’s Organization included the establishment of guidance centers for women in different regions to address family, legal, and health issues, as well as the formation of educational courses and professional training classes. Additionally, the organization focused on conducting literacy campaigns and implementing national action plans aimed at elevating the status of women, achieving equality of rights, and promoting women’s participation in growth and development.
This research employs a descriptive-analytical method and examines the challenges faced by family welfare centers.
