Considering the importance of the role of cartoons in children's role modeling, the present article examines the role of non-Iranian cartoon characters in children's cultural role modeling from the perspective of parents. This article seeks to answer the question: Is there a significant relationship between watching non-Iranian cartoons and children's cultural modeling from perspective and seeing? The main hypothesis of this article is: There is a significant relationship between the rate of watching non-Iranian cartoons and children's cultural role modeling.
The theoretical framework of the article is a combination of theories in the field of media and communication, theories related to social learning and cultural theories. The research method is survey and the statistical population includes parents with 6 to 12 year old children in the city of Soomehsara. 330 parents were selected as the statistical sample by cluster sampling. In data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics as well as SPSS software were used.
According to the findings of the study, children watch cartoons for 3 to 4 hours a day, and according to the findings of the same study, there is a significant relationship between watching non-Iranian cartoons and cultural, moral, behaviora and lifestyle roles modeling in children.
