تأثیرگذاری ارزش‌های تجدد بر فرهنگ‌های غیر غربی (مورد ایران)

چکیده

در اواسط قرن نوزدهم، با گسترش روابط با جهان مدرن، گرایش به وجه زندگی غربی در بخشی از جامعة ایرانی شدت گرفت. در عمل، به‌کارگیری الگوی مزبور به تقلیدی انجامید که، به علت نامتجانس‌بودن ارزش‌‌های تجدد با مجموعة سیستم اجتماعی، از جای‌گرفتن در کل جامعه ناتوان ماند. در عین حال، موفق‌نشدن در پیش‌‌برد بسیاری از طرح‌‌های نوگرایی را می‌‌توان، به میزان وسیعی، ناشی از نوع سیاستی دانست که در کشور برای توسعه به کار گرفته شده بود. همچنین، جایگاه اجتماعی کسانی که بانی و مجری تغییرات بودند به‌خوبی نشان‌دهندة این واقعیت است که تا چه حد ارادۀ تغییر از بطن جامعه به دور بوده است

In the middle of the 19th century, during the modernization of Western world, the tendency to utilize Western life styles in some parts of Iranian society gained force. But since the Western values were not accepted in the society as a whole and were incongruent with the total social system of Iran, utilization of this pattern remained ineffective. Furthermore, because of the kind of the development policies which were utilized, most of the plans were not implemented in the society and so were unsuccessful. Also the social position of those who sponsored the program indicates that they were too far from the social reality to bring about proper and deep social changes
